Lionhead Rabbits

Fergie is yet another rabbit I foster for Fur Angels Sanctuary. She is albino, and as a result, partially blind. It doesn’t hinder her in any way, shape, or form though. The only reason I know she is partially blind is because she scans sometimes. Rabbits scan (especially albinos) when they want to see something better, and I have had quite a few rabbits that have had that and it doesn’t seem to limit them at all. You would never really know the difference, expect for the swaying of their heads. ^^ I think it is actually quite cute when they scan. Anyway, Fegrie is a realy good rabbit. I would recommend her to a frist time rabbit owner in a heart beat.Also, before I forget, I ask you just ignore the voices in the background. They were my neighbors, and I couldn’t just tell them to be quiet. How awkward would that be?

Hi, I’m Zorro, the black and white bunny, and I’m here with my brother, Orion. We are totally bonded to each other so I’m really hoping that we can find a new home for both of us. We are both purebred lionhead rabbits and are only several months old. We sleep side-by-side snuggling close and we groom each other. It’s really quite cute to watch, according to the volunteers. We play together, too.

Our dream would be to find a loving home that would give both of us a safe, warm place where we could lounge and relax and just enjoy life. We are easy to pick up and love so I think we’d make a nice family really happy. Currently, we’re spending our time at the San Jose Animal Care Center (http://www.sanjoseanimals.org/).

Some of the tricks that Buds does. Basic, simple tricks. More to come though, pardon this sucky version.

(EDIT) Well since Buds is gone, I can only do a written update. This smart little rabbit could dig on command, could differentiate between having to raise one paw or both paws and he clearly knew how to play dead when I did BANG. He was so smart and could do so many other funny antics. Love ya little buddy

Kasper, my lionhead REW Bunny just turned 1 year old 1/6/09. Sorry it’s a little on the dark side, he was inside his pen.

He has been quite aloof lately with me, but tonight he was incredibly sweet.

Maybe it was HIS birthday present to me and just a sweet ‘thank you’ for all the love and care he gets.

He just kept kissing my hand, so I had to grab the camera. Such a sweet little lionhead bunny.
