Lionhead Rabbits

Rabbit care A daily groom for your rabbit! although rabbits are fastidiously clean creatures, they will sometimes need a little extra help with their grooming, especially during a moult. Apart from stimulating blood circulation and removing trapped hairs, this is a great way for bunny and owner to bond and many bunnies will reciprocate by grooming their owners in return. Daily grooming is required for long haired breeds such as the Angora. Soft-bristled and slicker brushes are recommended and grooming should start at the head and progress down the body. Check for wounds or sores under matted fur as they can often be hidden away. Grooming also helps reduce the amount of hair that your bun ingests as it cleans itself. Problems can arise with Hair-balls, where the hair inside the rabbit clumps together and is very difficult to move.
