It is extraordinary already to be able to witness the birth of baby buns. Usually it happens during the night far from the eyes of any predators.
Extraordinary too because we have been able to catch her feed them for the first time and we also saw her eating the placenta.
Now, you will notice in the video how it seems hard for her to swallow that meat: don’t forget she is an herbivore and do eat this only for the sake of her babies. No trace of the birth left behind: her babies are safe. Nature is amazing!

Fergie is yet another rabbit I foster for Fur Angels Sanctuary. She is albino, and as a result, partially blind. It doesn’t hinder her in any way, shape, or form though. The only reason I know she is partially blind is because she scans sometimes. Rabbits scan (especially albinos) when they want to see something better, and I have had quite a few rabbits that have had that and it doesn’t seem to limit them at all. You would never really know the difference, expect for the swaying of their heads. ^^ I think it is actually quite cute when they scan. Anyway, Fegrie is a realy good rabbit. I would recommend her to a frist time rabbit owner in a heart beat.Also, before I forget, I ask you just ignore the voices in the background. They were my neighbors, and I couldn’t just tell them to be quiet. How awkward would that be?

Oh my babies are all grown up. But still my babies. I know a lot of you have been missing their furry faces lately so here you go! Safe & sound.. and very happy As you can see… it’s grooming day around here! We don’t cut their hair, we just… collect the dead fur that has come loose and gross lol We want soft and silky bunnies don’t we? The grooming doesn’t hurt them at all, they just don’t like to stay still so they get a bit cranky. And as you can see, they are living such a tough life (sarcasm lol)… they eat, sleep… go to the bathroom, then lay down and watch tv all day. I know they must think it’s rigorous LOL I love these sweeties with all my heart (=

Botanical Hay
Alfalfa Hay
Timothy Hay

(Really, you just wanna make a hay blend)

Kaytee Natural Blend Cranberries and Hibiscus
Oxbow Strawberry Treats
Apple Orchard Sticks

However, don’t limit yourself. Use any bunny/guinea safe treats/chews you want. You can put dried rose petals, dried fruit treats, yogurt drops (if you give your pet those – I don’t give them to my rabbit because honestly, they shouldn’t have dairy), dried carrot tops, dried fennel, pine cones, etc! My favorite place to get bunny treats is www.bunspace.com!

Meeka never chews the sisal that I used on another bag, so I always use the same one. However, this bag I made is going to be given away so I didn’t want to use it.
