First off, I would appreciate it if no one tries to talk me out of breeding my rabbits, my mind is set and the bunnies will all find perfect, stable homes.
OK, so I’ve got a yellow dutch rabbit (doe) who weighs 3 1/2 lbs and a lionhead (buck) who I haven’t weighed yet. The buck has already had 2 litters, both were unsuccessful due to the old age of the mother.
Anyway, I don’t know the age of the doe because the pet store never gave me any information. She doesn’t look 3-4 months old, she looks at least 5 months old. Here’s a picture:

How old do you think she looks??
If she’s about 5-6 months old, shall I think about breeding her now?? So she’ll be about 7 months old as a mother, or is that too young…??
Please tell me what you think!!
Thanks xxx
4-6 months is the perfect time for breeding her. Don’t breed any does over 1 year, its dangerous.
Going back in time Principal Hip and Principal Radare best friends until they are in a car accident and Principal Hip takes his job as school Principal and he hires the Pink Bunny as the school mascot due to Principal Rad’s friendship with the Pink Bunny.

My little lionhead rabbit boy has been sneezing the past few days, occasionally showing a tiny bit of white snot which I wipe off with a kleenex. Nostrils are not blocked, no weepy eyes, fully alert and full of energy. Snot is not abundant, maybe once a day only a tiny but, no snot on the inside of the paws.
It’s been very hot here, and I’ve had the fan blowing on him for about a week to keep him cool in the hot weather. I’ve looked a bit on the internet and seem to get a lot of information on upper respiratory diseases, any chance that it’s something else? i’ve had this lovely boy for about 2 months, he’s my little darling and I just barely lost my cat, I wouldn’t be able to stand losing him too. Any help at all would be much appreciated.
I would get it checked at the vet just to be sure it’s not the beginnings of a serious respiratory problem, tooth problem, or something like Pasteurella, all of which are best caught early!! Get a vet to have a good look.
Fergie is yet another rabbit I foster for Fur Angels Sanctuary. She is albino, and as a result, partially blind. It doesn’t hinder her in any way, shape, or form though. The only reason I know she is partially blind is because she scans sometimes. Rabbits scan (especially albinos) when they want to see something better, and I have had quite a few rabbits that have had that and it doesn’t seem to limit them at all. You would never really know the difference, expect for the swaying of their heads. ^^ I think it is actually quite cute when they scan. Anyway, Fegrie is a realy good rabbit. I would recommend her to a frist time rabbit owner in a heart beat. Also, before I forget, I ask you just ignore the voices in the background. They were my neighbors, and I couldn’t just tell them to be quiet. How awkward would that be?

They were killed by a dog on 13th April 2009.
I had Tinker a long time and she used to be a house rabbit and lived in my room (she was litter trained) she was alot like a dog, she had a real personality, she was funny. She jumped into her hutch herself too when i put her near it! She meant alot to me ![]()
I got Spike so Tinker would have a friend, he was a lionhead and was really fluffy! He used to go crazy jumping around in the garden! It was funny.
Recently i havent had time for them so was selling them so theyd have a little girl to play with them and give them the attention the diserved. Someone rang up and arranged to come see them, i went in to the garden and spike was just lying there
then i looked for the rest, mam & dan helped & they said not to go down the bottom cos Tinker was dead
i just cried for ages. I made them a grave stone and mam dug a hole so they could be burried together. We planted forget me nots on their grave
R.I.P Tink & Spike
