Check http://www.petfinder.org. I have seen them there.
Keep checking this site, and the shelters it lists:

This has to be the cutest bunny on the net. We kept it in the back garden for a year, until one day she burrowed right under the wall. RIP

I just need to know which would be the better place..or if you know of any others…Because I know of some friends who didn't end up getting the rabbit they asked for and what not. thanks for the help!
Defnately don't buy from a petstore!
I suggest buying from a breeder locally (google Rabbit Breeders in ______) or go to a rabbit show and get a high quality rabbit! You can go the http://www.arba.net/showinfo.htm and search for your state and find a rabbit show that will be going on close to you. You may even find a rabbit you like even more than the lionhead.
Good Luck!
About around 3- 4 l bs they are about the size of a jersey wooly or a holland lop
Kayla, my lionhead bunny must be extremely smart–it didn’t take long at all to teach her “up” and “circle”. She also does “lap” and “over”, but there was too much going on with the hamsters rolling and Lacey wondering . . . . just your average typical night. . .

I've have had a lion head rabbit for a few months now. This week i got her out and realised that there is very little fur left on her back. Its so thin that i can see her skin!
She lives outside.
Is this normal?
She could just be shedding, or she could have something like bugs. Take her to the vet just to be safe! I had a lion head rabbit and he went through that but then he stopped eating and passed away.
Just take her to the vet just in case. Usually it won't be that expensive, and they can't do anything without your permission.
